The Prepared Expert — The H Hansen Group, LLC
By enrolling in or purchasing access to The Prepared Expert (the "Course"), you agree to be bound by the terms below. If you do not agree to these terms, do not enroll.
1. Nature of the Course — Not Legal Advice
The Course is a communications training program designed to help expert witnesses present testimony more clearly, credibly, and persuasively. All content, materials, frameworks, and instruction — including but not limited to the BEAR Technique™, SEE Formula™, and the 3 Cs framework (Credibility, Compassion, Charisma) — are provided solely for communications education and skills development.
The Course does not constitute legal advice, legal services, or legal representation of any kind. The H Hansen Group, LLC is not a law firm. Course instructor Heather Hansen is a formerly practicing attorney who now works exclusively as a communications consultant, speaker, and educator. Nothing in this Course creates an attorney-client relationship between you and the Company or its instructors.
You understand and agree that:
2. Limitation of Liability and Release
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and instructors ("Released Parties") are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your enrollment in or use of the Course, including but not limited to:
In no event shall the Company's total liability to you exceed the total amount you paid for enrollment in the Course.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Course content; (b) your conduct as an expert witness or otherwise; or (c) any breach of these terms.
3. Intellectual Property Ownership
All Course content, materials, videos, audio recordings, worksheets, scripts, frameworks, methodologies, written materials, and any other resources provided in connection with the Course (collectively, "Course Materials") are the exclusive intellectual property of The H Hansen Group, LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
The following are registered or proprietary trademarks and frameworks of the Company:
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Course Materials solely for your own personal professional development. This license does not include the right to:
Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of Course Materials constitutes copyright and/or trademark infringement and may subject you to civil and criminal liability. The Company reserves the right to seek all available legal and equitable remedies, including injunctive relief and monetary damages.
You agree to immediately notify the Company in writing upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of Course Materials by any third party.
4. Confidentiality
Course Materials constitute confidential and proprietary information of the Company. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of all Course Materials and not to disclose any portion of them to any third party without the Company's prior written consent. This obligation survives the termination or expiration of these terms.
5. No Guarantee of Results
The Company makes no guarantee, warranty, or representation regarding the outcome of any deposition, trial, hearing, or other proceeding in which you participate. Individual results will vary based on factors outside the Company's control, including your existing skills, the nature of the matter in which you are testifying, and the judgment of legal professionals and fact-finders.
The Course is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
6. Enrollment and Payment
Enrollment is complete upon receipt of full payment of the enrollment fee. Payment constitutes your acceptance of these terms in their entirety.
All enrollment fees are non-refundable. Upon payment, you receive lifetime access to the core Course modules starting from the course launch date. Access to live monthly Q&As, the community, and newly released modules added after your enrollment is provided separately as part of TPE membership, which may be offered on a subscription basis.
The Company reserves the right to revoke access to the Course at any time, without refund, if you breach any provision of these terms.
7. General Provisions
Governing Law. These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall first be submitted to non-binding mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in New Jersey under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive the right to participate in any class action proceeding.
Entire Agreement. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company with respect to their subject matter and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
Modification. The Company reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued participation in the Course following notice of modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Electronic Acceptance. Your enrollment, payment, or electronic acknowledgment of these terms (including clicking "I Agree" or completing checkout) constitutes a valid and binding electronic signature for all purposes.
